It helps in curing dyspepsia, dysentery, cough, bronchitis, leucorrhoea, uterine hemorrhage, dysuria, and blood diseases. The drug is also useful in skin diseases, fever, thirst, vomiting, poisoning, anemia, and debility. Poly-herbal preparations containing Hemidesmus are used for the treatment of cancer.
