  • Fundamentals of Ayurveda
  • Basic principles
  • Prakriti (body – type) analysis
  • Concept of three main pillars of Ayurveda – Diet, sleep & celibacy
  • Daily regimen as per Ayurveda – Concept of Dinacharya
  • Seasonal regimen as per Ayurveda – Concept of Ritucharya
  • Concept of Agni (Digestive & Metabolic fire) and Ama (Micro toxins)
  • Basic principles of Ayurveda Dietetics & Nutrition
  • Ayurveda properties of Cereals and Pulses
  • Ayurveda properties of common vegetables & fruits
  • Ayurveda properties of dairy products, honey, nuts and dry fruits
  • Spices and their properties according to Ayurveda
  • Virudhha Ahara (Incompatible food combinations) & Alternative option for fast food
  • Ahara Vidhi Vishesha Ayatana (Ayurvedic special rules for diet intake)
  • Ayurveda nutrition for lifestyle disorders

Total sessions in Practical: 15 (Each session will be 2.5 hour long)

  • Identification of spices, cereals, pulses
  • Preparation of Ghee in Ayurvedic method & Making of cottage cheese
  • Prakriti Analysis
  • Ayurveda drinks for different Prakriti (Hot infusions, Cold infusions, Spiced milk)
  • Indian healthy bread recipes – plain and stuffed (using wholewheat flour, etc)
  • Ayurveda detox diet (Manda, Peya, Vilepi, Kitchari)
  • Ayurveda Desserts (Lentil pudding, Coconut cake, Dry fruit & seed bar, Milk pudding)
  • Different Ayurveda Dips (Raisins dip, Coriander, Peanut, Coconut, etc) and Salads (Chickpea salad, vegetable salad)
  • Ayurveda yoghurt preparations (Spiced buttermilk, Sweet yoghurt, Vegetable raitas)
  • Ayurveda rice preparations (Coconut milk porridge, Rice cooked with vegetables, etc)
  • Ayurveda recipes for lifestyle disorders – Part 1 (Recipes with Barley, Corn, Millets and vegetables)
  • Ayurveda recipes for lifestyle disorders – Part 2 (Recipes with Barley, Corn, Millets and vegetables)
