Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha is the recipient of this year’s Padma Shri Award, the fourth highest civilian award from the Government of India for his outstanding contributions towards the propagation and development of Ayurveda. This year government honored 104 persons with Padma Awards. These include 9 Padma Vibhushan, 20 Padma Bhushan and 75 Padma Shri awardees. They will receive the awards from President Pranab Mukherjee at a function in New Delhi in March or April.

Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha completed his under graduation in 1985 and post graduation in 1991 from the esteemed Gujarat Ayurved University, Jamnagar. Vaidya Kotecha is currently serving as the Vice Chancellor of Gujarat Ayurveda University, Jamnagar. He is also the founder of Chakrapani Ayurveda Clinic & Research Center Jaipur, India in the year 1998. Awarded Global Ayurveda Physician, Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha is an expert Ayurveda physician, actively involved in clinical, academic and research activities in Ayurveda at national and international level. He is also the member of Advisory Panel to the CCIM, Department of AYUSH.
